Project Overview
1367 Pockwock Road is a flat roofing project completed by Lusso Contracting featuring the full supply and installation of a high-performance modified bitumen roofing assembly.
The system was designed to provide reliable waterproofing, effective drainage, and long-term durability through a fully integrated roof assembly incorporating vapour control, rigid insulation, tapered drainage design, and a multi-layer modified bitumen membrane system.
Lusso completed the roofing assembly from the vapour barrier and insulation through to the final torch-applied cap sheet and membrane detailing.

Positive Drainage Design
Custom tapered cricket insulation was incorporated into the roof assembly to direct water toward designated roof drains and provide positive drainage across the roofing surface.
Secondary slopes were carefully integrated into the tapered insulation design to reduce areas of standing water and improve long-term roof drainage performance.
High-Performance Roofing Assembly
The complete system was installed using IKO roofing products, creating a durable and fully integrated waterproofing assembly designed for long-term performance.
The combination of vapour control, polyiso insulation, tapered drainage components, modified bitumen base sheet, and torch-applied cap sheet provides a robust roofing system engineered to withstand Nova Scotia’s demanding seasonal weather conditions.
